Points of Pride

  • In its first three years, Arts Alliance Tulsa(AAT) has developed and awarded over$1.5 millionin unrestricted operating support to 40local non-profit arts organizations who represent the cultural and socio-economic diversity of our community.

  • Since its formation in late 2015, AAT’s member organizations have provided freearts programs, classes, workshops, and summer camps impacting the lives of more than630,000 Tulsa-area children from pre-K through high school who have seen fine arts classes vanish from their schools.

  • Overall individual contributions (not including AAT grants) to Arts Alliance member groups have INCREASED by 18%challenging the initial concern that a united funding source might adversely affect traditional giving.

The current AAT grant will help leverage a matching grant of $20,000, thereby helping us continue programming in Spring and Summer 2019 and beyond!”- Executive director, Harmony Project Tulsa

  • Before Arts Alliance Tulsa was established, corporate giving to the arts in Tulsa averaged a dismal 3%while the combined corporate and workplace giving to the arts nationally was 58%. Our focused efforts have boosted corporate support of AAT in the last year to well over 30% and climbing.

  • Of the 40+similar united arts funds across the nation, Arts Alliance Tulsa is the newest, and after its third year ranked:
    • 5thin exceeding its campaign goal
    • 12thin per capita giving
    • 15thoverall in the country

  • In 2019 Arts Alliance Tulsa began its newest initiative called HEARTor “Hear Art” which provides ASL Interpreters and sound magnification devices to the hearing-impaired in our community so they too can enjoy access to performances and programming offered by AAT’s non-profit arts organizations. HEARTis the only program of its kind providing access to the arts to more than just a single organization.

  • AAT HOMEis another initiative with the goal of establishing a partnership between Arts Alliance and the Tulsa real estate community. The prominence of art and culture is a significant “quality of life” factor in maintaining property values and as a selling point to homebuyers relocating to the Tulsa area. Together we are working to create new ways for realtors to invest in the arts while helping their clients discover the vast cultural landscape available to them in Tulsa.
